Even if you are not much of a chef, a home kitchen remodeling can still give you a beautiful kitchen that quickly becomes the center of your Anaheim, CA area home. After all, kitchens these days are not dark, gloomy places restricted to activities connected to the preparation of food. Modern kitchens are doubling as family rooms, where children do their homework, and indulge in other family friendly activities, like art work and games that the entire family can enjoy. It is also turning into an entertainment center where your friends can gather to catch up on your lives over a mug of coffee.
Kitchen islands are becoming the most requested kitchen remodel features in American homes. If your existing kitchen plan does not include a built- in kitchen island, it absolutely must be included in your kitchen home improvement plans. A smaller kitchen can benefit from the extra counter space that can also double as an informal dining area. A small kitchen can also be made to look more spacious by tearing down a wall, and installing the kitchen island as a point of demarcation between the kitchen and the other areas. Generally, kitchen islands are constructed in color co ordination with the rest of the kitchen, although a completely unrelated color or style can work to create a bold look. Sizes can be rectangular, square, circular or oval, and you can even have rolling islands for areas where there is no space for a large island.
Simply by installing a new cabinet or counter tops, bringing in an island, opening up a few windows and adding coordinated appliances, you can give your kitchen an entirely new look. A kitchen remodel is one of the highest ROI investments you can make in your home with most people recouping more than 90 % of the cost of renovation in resale value. Since the kitchen is such a visible part of your Anaheim, CA area home, investing in its appearance and functionality offers greater value for money than other home improvements.

Moving to KC (looking to buy a home in Parkville). The house we are considering is new construction with about 1200 sq ft of unfinished basement. What is the ball park square footage price to finish with framing a bedroom, installing a bath and the rest as media room with bar? I realize this is general, but I want a general idea of costs. Thanks so much. Look forward to hearing from you.
